Tranquil Graves 2.0 is a very heavily modified version of my first net pack. It includes 14 maps:
Shrine High Hopes Zen of Wrath The Sheik of Araby Lobby L'hiver Black Wave King of the Underground Eclipse Ethanol My Body is a Cage Rapture Space Truckin' The Down Under Swoosh!
It also contains many bug fixes and some modifications to my earlier maps, see the read-me for more.
This is the result of the fourth Mapmaking Contest. Out of 11 total competitors, 7 people made the final cut, leaving us with a solid pack of great maps.
Winners include Windbreaker, treellama, and Kinetic Turtle, though the final product has 7 maps from 7 mappers. A great showing!
This is a 2 physics pack that I made a while back. The first one is playable, if rather gimmicky. The second one IS NOT PLAYABLE AT ALL, EDIT and was included as an example of the variety of things you can do with this EDIT. They both involve pressing the walk key to "fly". Nofall2 is not playable because I set player gravity to a negative number when walking, but the problem is that if you're killed you just keep going up and up and up into the ceiling. Because of some unknown engine property, if you accelerate into the ceiling while dead at a constant rate, it sends you up through the ceiling, where everything looks untextured, then for about a minute of that you come up through the floor, continue upwards through the ceiling and repeat. Because your corpse is still moving, it is impossible to respawn.
There. Do what you will with this, but at least let people know what you are doing before hosting it. EDIT In response to Tim, here are some suggestions for getting the most out of this: 1) Certain maps, such as Intercontinental Divide, get the most out of this (I found quick six in general to be pretty good for it). 2) The setup of this is such that a person on the ground can usually trump a flying person. That's alright, because in my experience there's only one or two people spoiling like that. 3) You can control the rise and fall (and direction [you can build up mad speed]) by shooting in the opposite direction (preferably with a machine gun, rockets don't work as well).
All credit for concept goes to Count Roland. Other tweaks are credited to me. He has okayed this for distribution last time I saw him.
Having adopted my own creation from the Orphanage, I submit "Elements 2 Beta". This netmap pack is hostable in the usual way and will also allow nethopping, which does seem to work. Since the map was made before A1 was around, I'd be curious as to how well the levels play using a PC; they do work on Macs. If playing A1 Infinity, all levels are playable. Note that "Speed Bump" has at least one platform which causes a player to be in constant motion; die there and you will not be able to respawn. Also note that the Jjarro level's central open area is easily accessible, yet there is no way out of it except for grenade or rocket hopping or dying. ;-O If playing A1 M2, the Jjarro level will crash the game. (The Goo level will also crash since there is an SMG hidden in the level :-) The levels were built for speed rather than looks (although most look and sound pretty good). Once the bugs are edited out, it may be released as "Elements 2". Enjoy!
See description.
A pack of physics models that all mod the flamethrower. One has infinite range, one has infinite range and travels faster, one makes it very inaccurate. By now hopefully you know: 1) how to use a physics file, 2) to not use on a merged map, and 3) don't review without trying it out first.
I think anybody can make this easily within a minute.
This is my first netmap.
New in version 1.1
added platforms near shotguns
added an smg close to a player's starting position on the high ledge
added shading changed stair lighting from 100% to 0% to 100% to 50%
added some more ammo
changed speeds of platforms
changed a teleport destination
fixed a wall that had the wrong blue texture
added new texture to higher level hallway
Sovereignty is my first netpack now containing 8 maps. I first released this netpack in April, 2007. I am pleased with the outcome and quality; even for the older maps.
In this final update (v1.2), I have added 1 new map, and fixed a blatant ambient sound error in The King of Infinite Space. I also managed to fix a terrible error in 50% of the maps, where the players would only spawn in one or two places throughout an entire game.
NOTE: For best results, don't use the hi-res textures.
These are the map files from the XBLA game Marathon: Durandal and its DLC. Four original net levels are tacked onto the end of the first map; and the other maps include potentially interesting ports of Classic Marathon levels.
The solo levels are included (and identical to the Mac version) but the terminals will not operate.
Redistributed with permission from Bungie/Freeverse.
This is a collection of some of my most recent maps. Most of the maps here are in the medium and small category, so do not expect to have more than 5 people on each map.
I Hope you Enjoy the pack.
Gravity's Rainbow 1.21 includes two new maps added, " |3 A |< A" and "Oreta Awai Tsubasa." | F.A.M.A.S | is now fixed in this version also.
A large netmap inspired by Quake 3 Arena.
Weapons and ammo are stacked. That's why you don't see much ammo. It's hidden under weapons.
Mr Vain 1.1
-added more elevators
-made a few elevators more user friendly
-added an abundance of ammo in item parametres. The Map now spawns enough ammo and weapons to max 8 players out.
-a couple of weapon spawning points were added.
-A hill and ball were added
Perry Arena is my first map released to the public. It's packed full of carnage and uses the sewage texture set. M2 compatible. There are aliens and bobs for solo fun.
Changed some sounds and monster parameters to improve flow.
Double Aught's classic netmap pack hasn't been changed at all, except that I've made it into "Unimap" format and zipped the file, making it easier for more modern operating systems to use.
NOTE that the version you can download from Simplici7y will not work with old films recorded forever ago in the good old days. These sure as hell aren't the good old days. If you're trying to view an old film and Aleph One complains that it can't find the map file, get the original file here.
Switches from Macbin/Unimap resources to M2/95 resources. Meaningless to most, so don't bother getting this new one unless you're having trouble with the old one.
My first netpack. It includes 4 netmaps. Maps are good for 2-4 player games. The netpack includes the following:
1)Mr. Roger's battle world 2)Playing, at night 3)Battle at Hill 21 4)We're waiting for the boxes
Map 4 was a Rubicon netmap. I retextured it so it can be played in Marathon Infinity.
Offical
An answer to LMOTH: FXOTH. Be the first person on the hill to get a point.
This is my first map in a long time , I have never released anything public before. So constructive criticism is welcome . Thank you in advance for the download .
I will expand on it if required
This script uses the microphone button to jump. It will only allow you to jump while on the ground so you can't go flying across the map.
Be sure to this host with microphones off.
Version 1.1: Now makes a grunt sound when you jump and has cleaner beginning text (uses overlay instead of print).
Version 1.2: Now the microphone wont interfere with the sound. This should be the final version.
34 multiplayer maps for Marathon Infinity. Ninth edition features 4 new maps.
Many of these maps include unique precipitation/weather/novelty Lua scripts, while others are simpler in design.
Here's a new netmap supporting EMFH and KOTH. As is often the case, this is an exercise in flow as much as anything. The map is loosely divided into four chambers. It's entirely asymmetrical, with an open floor plan. I recommend it for 4 or fewer players.
Initial release.
