This is a 30 level scenario that truly deserves official sequel status to the original Marathon trilogy. We're so confident about that, that we're calling it Marathon 4. There are too many people that helped with this project that it's impossible to name everyone. Thank you all fans of marathon!
This scenario is truly groundbreaking in that every time you play the game, your experience will be different. No two players will ever have the same experience playing through this game. The replayability is endless!
ten thousand netmaps
POWERS is a new kind of Marathon gameplay. Instead of having an arsenal of weapons, the player carries only what is inside his mind—his POWERS.
POWERS works under Aleph One with any Marathon scenario, and, in theory, any game type. However, the best way to use your new POWERS is with a friend in Co-op mode! New challenges await you in your favorite levels, and you might find that your POWERS even enhance levels you never appreciated before. Just use the POWERS Lua script when you play!
Total overhaul. See the Readme.
The final edition of my third multiplayer mappack includes 20 maps for Marathon Infinity. This pack uses texture sets from all 3 games, with 5 Marathon 1 "themed" maps, 7 Durandal maps, and 8 standard Infinity maps.
A plugin for the original weapons-in-hand graphics for Aleph One, featuring: - Different looking muzzle flash with blended edges. - Motion blur on certain frames, including bullet shells and the fists. - An optional translucent scope effect for the magnum.
Works with both Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity!
These physics I made with a bit of a twist. I put in some more interesting things found in some games I was playing. Here are the changes:
Fist: Knock out punches (more damage)
Pistols: Pistoles (shotguns)
AR: Incendiary rounds w/ flamethrower attach
Shotguns: NADE FEST!!!!!
SMG: Incendiary rounds
Alien weap: Spht Kr bolts just like bitsoglass physics; 2nd trigg major
Whatever I didn't list has no change so rockets, fusion, flamer, I think thats it. Please comment, rate, critique. I really appreciate when you do.
Tell me any bugs or anything I could improve. Thanks
An underwater map built in and around a scaled-up generator.
You'll need to do some swimming here; set your run key to something easy to reach if you haven't already.
Psycho Physics file:
*Movement is quicker underwater.
*All weapons fire underwater.
*Fusion Pistol fires safely underwater.
---NEW---
*All shots, including monsters' shots, will now fire underwater.
*The S'pht will not float to the top of the map. Instead, their "jump" height is left at it's highest.
The latter additions were made to make Psychomanteus more compatible with the Survival.Lua script. Enjoy.
Weapons and Ammo. Okay, this time I really ramped up the numbers.
Made more items floaty.
Physics no longer merged; I think there was an error with Atque.
My first netmap. Harmonium is a small- to medium-sized map, best for about 4-5 players. It includes an embedded MML script for starting the player with the assault rifle and SMG.
The map is not terribly large, but at 844 polygons, it is very detailed, and may slow down for some players using OpenGL Shader mode.
I welcome any feedback.
Corrected version; the first upload did not include the embedded MML file. It has been fixed.
KTA3: The Complete Masterworks is every Kill Them All map to date, as well as 12 new maps, in one massive 38-map mega-mini-scenario adventure.
If you want to play co-op, using Co-op.lua is nearly a requirement.
Added two more maps and fixed a lot of bugs, mostly related to co-op.
A map i only converted to the marathon engine. not my idea.
this is the Citadel, biggest map almost ever... uses all space possible... Careful of the crypt if you use the Physics that emulate the bob war...
some bad lighting here and there, still needs fog, some teleporters need hooking up, edges need killzones, needs a readme... other than that, iz finished.
@President People thats what it is.
@timothy, this is going in my scenario, and the textures would therefore be customized to the map. and idk how to do fog, and the troops were just cause i was bored. nobody likes bots.
The TTEP (Total Texture Enhancement Package) is a massive package containing remakes of the original textures from the Marathon trilogy.
It replaces the original low-quality textures with new high-ress versions with a maximum size of 1024x1024 pixels. I've tried to get them as close to the originals as possible.
New in version 7.0:
Script files have been cleaned up and files have been renamed to make it more clear how to install.
All textures are now optimized .DDS files, with increased performance as well as quality!
Textures can now be scaled down in Aleph One's OpenGL settings. This also makes the TTEP a single size package, there's no longer 4 different sizes.
A lot of the textures have tiny flaws removed, some are completely redone to make them look better.
The Textures are now divided by their games, meaning you're not forced to download and use the Marathon 2 Textures when you only want the Marathon 1 replacements for example.
After all, what is a metastable AI but an electric god?
You've been sent by Durandal to assist a UESC assault on the Vylae homeworld. As Pfhor resistance crumbles, a strange discovery offers new opportunities... and new perils.
A mini-scenario for Marathon Infinity. Eight levels, plus one interstitial and one secret bonus level.
Notable changes in v1.2:
Marathon: Istoria is a single-player RPG scenario set in the Marathon universe and designed for the Aleph One engine. It pushes the engine to its limits by using advanced character progression, combat, and storytelling.
Customize your character by choosing from seven different player classes, each with their own unique active and passive abilities. Decide which conventional weapons you want to specialize in, and make use of a brand new arsenal of spells. Explore Istoria while discovering its secrets and how you fit in the world through a combination of terminals and communicating with the recently deceased. Istoria features an original soundtrack by Jon Irons.
This is a slightly modified version of Hopper's M2 Default HUD. It moves the HUD to the lower left corner of the screen and allows for fullscreen mode without any black bar. This works for any non-M1 scenario.
Thanks to wrkncacnter for the additional scripting.
Fixed margins so the lua console can be viewed. Thanks to Terin in the Marathon Discord for fixing this!
