A full scenario for Marathon 2. It is a 6 level breach and infiltrate mission into a Pfhor military compound, complete with new terminal and chapter arts, as well as some interesting old school mapping tricks and fun bits.
This version of the scenario was built for Marathon 2's texture set, and is best played using Classic Marathon 2.
Original posting for simplici7y.
plugin for terminals to not work anymore
it breaks them
A very simple MML script which helps me greatly with some of the in-game flashes which are too bright. Feel free to edit to suit your needs.
Made this for Scraniel, but might help others. Just makes some of the flashes less bright. It should be copied into the Scripts directory of Aleph One, and as of AO v1.6, does not need to be enabled in preferences. It should work with most 3rd-party scenarios, depending on what those creators have modified.
I've always found the weapon reticles in the enhanced hud plugin to be too dim and hard to see, so I made brighter ones. To use, simply replace the default images in the enhanced hud plugin folder with these.
Marathon's original QuickTime 2.x instruments, brought to modern DAWs in sample form.
Suitable for playing back Marathon MIDI files or incorporating these instruments into a new Marathon soundtrack.
Just set the user folder path of your SFZ player to the Aiffdisk and enjoy!
QuickTime Musical Instruments is property of Apple Computer, Inc. and Roland Corporation ©1994 All rights reserved. Do not use or distribute this reproduction for purposes other than Marathon-related activities. Do not sell this reproduction.
ampeg_release may need to be adjusted on some of the instruments to properly recreate.
2.1 accented hi-hat sounds weird but that may just be how QuickTime processes it in a mix.
Random spikes in MIDI playback may be caused by duplicate notes.
If more instruments are needed, please contact me on Discord: @Solar-Tron #6173
I copied Pfhactory N Utopia into the Source game engine using Source Hammer editor.
There are no textures.
This is a map for the Source Hammer editor.
Geometry and platforms are made.
The 5D space bridge really moves up and down.
This can only be opened with the Source game Hammer editor.
These are my first 3 maps that I have absolutely no business uploading here, but am doing so anyway. I started mapping 4 days ago so if they're terrible dont blame me. Thanks to everyone in the discord who helped me figure out how this stupid crap works. Weland and Vasara rock and are a lot of fun. I keep staying up way too late making these maps that everyone is going to complain about. Hopefully these are fun to play or mock or something Have a Nice day.
Why ThrokMaps? Idk, there's tons of ammo and weapons, power ups, and healing items to keep you in the fight. idk I think theyre kinda fun
Note: I really like the M2 XBLA textures cause they're colorful, and I textured all this with that pack. You can of course use whatever pack you want but if it looks weird somewhere or if youre like "wow that texture sucks here" thats why.
Well that's it. if these suck then just delete them I dont care
Bugfixes and 2 new maps:
Get Even - pure high speed deathmatch.
Grim Destiny - An abandoned space station; low gravity with dynamic flow.
Hello and welcome to my first post on Simplici7y!
This a fix for the Enhanced HUD plugin where you can actually see the Crosshair for the SMG. The step-by-step tutorial is in the README file of this mod. I'm actually surprised that no one else tried to fix the crosshair, since it took me a couple of minutes in Paint 3D.
Enjoy!
1.0 - Release of this mod.
A full scenario for Marathon Infinity. It is a 6 level breach and infiltrate mission into a Pfhor military compound, complete with new terminal and chapter arts, as well as some interesting old school mapping tricks and fun bits.
This version of the scenario was updated to Marathon Infinity (textures and refinements). If you want to play this scenario in Marathon 2, it is highly recommended you grab the other archive (specifically for M2), or many textures just won't look right on things.
Final version for Siege of Nor'Korh.
I had a spur-of-the-moment idea during the 30th anniversary, this was the result of it, after a very lazy few hours. I think it's really funny.
Shapes file that gives everyone fun Santa Claus hats. Everyone is jolly and fires a Holiday Cheer.
Most everyone's a little in the floor now, because i didn't want to slightly change 27 bubtillion frames for a tiny little joke thing (exception for the Mr. Mararthon's graphics, and the Flappy Boys [kind of] because they're important) Don't worry, it's not too noticeable.
Happy MegaMan X-mas.
M1A1 was a port of Marathon to Aleph One released in 2001 and updated in 2002 before Aleph One was able to use the original Marathon data files.
Today, Aleph One is able to play the original Marathon 1 which can be found at lhowon.org. Downloads for M1A1 will not work with Marathon 1. See the Marathon 1 scenario page for compatible files.
An archive of the the original M1A1 Project homepage can be found here.. Downloads can be found on the Fileball Archive.

NEFX loves you.
NEFX has been prolifically producing great Marathon/Aleph One inventions since 2017 (around 2.5 years after being founded) and uploading them to Simplici7y, in an increasing number of different upload pages that NEFX then frequently updates. This has occasionally lead to crowding of Simplici7y's front page with several different NEFX uploads, sometimes over a relatively short period. Understandably, some have objected to this as unfairly outcrowding and burying the wonderful contributions of our fellow travelers. We hear them. Therefore, to better serve the community as well as our Total Carnage Comrades, NEFX is now consolidating all additions and updates to its Marathon and Aleph One-related inventions on Simplici7y here on this one upload page, with a datemarked update timeline you can view below. Henceforth, all Marathon/Aleph One scenarios, campaigns, maps, mods, etc, and any updates to them, will be posted here. Of course, the webpage link connects to NEFX's Internet Archive homepage, where you can find all inventions by titled category. This includes:

A small project I worked on.
Version 1: All Drones are allies, be careful with fusion 2nd trigger it's an overload effect kill player in close range, missile launcher has 2nd trigger shoots 2 missiles at once, WARNING all weapons disappear when they have no ammo, hunters are slightly stronger than normal has a force shield, possessed drone is possessed juggernaut, bobs have a quick-fire attack, warning bobs have minor and major setting putting in total carnage you will not have a bob give you a pistol instead you will have assassin bob, you have defense drones replacing tick, shotgun has explosive rounds, the first minor & major Pfhor Fighter are Invisible with fast speed & quick attack. Version 1.5: Fixed SPAM being killed, Fixed Possessed Juggernaut firing, Change shotgun fire rounds from 10 to 20, Changed your speed.
A set of crosshairs designed for Apotheosis X. Based on the M2 Default HUD and Enhanced HUD plugins by Hopper.
If you think they look terrible, please leave a review!
NOTES:
A collection of all my most popular net maps, but tweaked and adjusted for optimum Infinity pleasure.
It does not have any pre-merged Physics in any of the maps, so you can use your own physics with this.
The Levels: • Damned if you do... • Desperate Measures • Pfhor Winds • Axiocranium • Brak Carnage • Carnage Heights • Hatala • Flying Leap • Cringe • Cringe Again • Pfhree Pfhor All
Final version of these net maps.
A work-in-progress update of Hopper & Ares Ex Machina’s texturing plugin Vasara (which itself is based on treellama & Jon Irons’ Visual Mode.lua), with several new features:
It also fixes several bugs, including:
To install:
This remains a work in progress, and updates may be slow, as Vasara’s code is sparsely documented and frequently quite dense, but I intend to continue working on it. I welcome constructive suggestions (best delivered through GitHub or Discord) and will attempt to implement them as time permits.
Enjoy!
Work in progress beta.
This HUD prevents landscape mirroring by letterboxing the 3D world view window. It automatically and dynamically resizes the view window whenever the resolution of the game window increases or decreases, whenever sniper mode is toggled on or off, whenever extravision is picked up or expires... In other words, whenever the FOV changes, no matter the cause (teleportation effect excluded).
Here's a little video showcasing how it works (16:9 screen, initially 90° FOV, then sniper mode is toggled on and then off).
It is based on Basic HUD by treellama, and has the same compatibilities as that HUD with regards to scenarios (for example, it is compatible with Marathon 2: Durandal, Marathon Infinity and Rubicon X, but not with Marathon).
This is a demo/proof of concept release for an OPEN-TO-EVERYONE COMMUNITY MAPPING PROJECT, Durandal Done Different. Inspired by community projects for Doom, such as Doom The Way Id Did, DDD is a celebration of the original game, its limitations, quirks and strengths.
The end goal of this project is to recreate, in the "style" of the original game, the entire 28-level campaign for Marathon 2. This isn't strictly speaking remakes of the original levels, but just a different interpretation of the writing and story beats as if it were 1995 all over again.
This 3-level demo features my replacements for Waterloo Waterpark, Slings and Arrows, and What About Bob. They're meant as a demonstration of the project's objective.
You are welcome to contribute! A direct link to the Discord for development of this project is in the text file of this download, or you can ask me for it on the main Marathon discord. Or you can just play the 3 maps included and wait patiently for the final release, sometime in the heavens...
