Jumping Hills 1.1
w-rkncacnter on 02/08/2017
Two netscripts meant to be used with the King of the Hill gametype. They will cause the hill to move around periodically. The compass points to the hill, and the lighting on the floor of the hill will flash.
Jumping Hills will work with any map enabled for KOTH, while Base Jumping Hills requires maps set up in a specific way. The readme has more details.
Notes for version 1.1:
- Added indicator to show whether the hill is above or below you.
- The exact same hill will no longer be chosen twice in a row.
- Added a floating fusion contrail for a better visual indication of the hill.
- Fixed a bug that prevented some maps from working with the script.
- Added Base Jumping Hills.
- Bumped Imperium down on the list of S7 files.

I came up with the concept for this and created this map a while ago. I thought I'd finally release it to the world so other people can enjoy it.

Lower Grade weapons = More points
Weaker weapons are harder to kill with thus will grant you more points, stronger weapons are easy to kill with, therefore you will gain less points if you use them.
Many thanks to Hail, Benoit, limonene, Windbreaker, Data, and others for their help in testing and balancing the script.
Future versions may include turning off auto switch and customization.
Current Netgame point distribution:
<pre><code>• Missile = 1 points • Flamethrower = 3 points • Shotgun = 5 points • SMG = 7 points • AR Grenade = 15 points • AR Bullet = 10 points • Alien Weapon = 20 points • Fusion Bolt Minor = 20 points • Fusion Bolt Major = 15 points • Pistol = 30 Points • Running Fists = 25 points • Walking Fists = 35 Points • Standing Fists = 50 points </code></pre>download, review, screenshot, rating
Rubicon - Xariim 1.0
tiloprobst on 01/17/2017

Originally released in 2002, ""Xariim"" is my solo scenario for Marathon Rubicon. 14 solo levels, one solo carnage level, three Read Me's. The (positive) review on archives.bungie.org is still up - read it if you want.
Tested with Rubicon X and Aleph One 1.2.1. Select the scenario file under Environment.
ADRESSING THE 2/5 REVIEW BELOW: Yes, it is true that this release has issues. While I don't know what the reviewer is refering to with Ataraxia being ""unbeatable"" (I just played through the entire package), it is true that a switch in ""Closed Quarters BOB Combat"" should actually be a destructable surface. As a result you can block your own progress by hitting the ""switch"" again. There are more similar bugs in later levels. There are other minor problems too, like some polys not having ambient sounds. That all being said, I can assure the reviewer that Rubicon Xariim was tested a lot, by me, Jane Davison and partially Christopher Lund. John Sumner vidmastered the whole thing, so you can watch him beat the Ataraxia level. The reason why these issues never got fixed is that I released the package in 2002 when I finished school. After that I was off doing the mandatory military service in Germany, so not much mapmaking going on during that time.

Erodrome Beta for AlephOne 1.0
thedoctor45 on 01/01/2017

This is a proper AlephOne port of the old Erodrome scenario for Marathon Infinity.
Should you encounter any more problems that were not present in the original version please post a comment and I will look into it.
PS: Be warned that Erodrome contains quite a bit of nudity in some of the later levels of the game.
Notes for version 1.0:
All HUD related problems have been fixed, and a few sound related bugs have also been fixed.

Freeverse's HD Textures Plugin (M2) @ 1024x1024
zetren on 12/18/2016
The all-in-one (AOI) Marathon 2 installer has these textures at 512x512 resolution. Install this to enjoy Marathon 2's textures at double that.
This folder is identical content wise to the 'HD Textures' folder contained by default within Marathon 2' plugins folder, except all textures have been replaced by ones with a resolution of 1024x1024.
This differs from the other 1024x1024 texture plugin for M2 on this site in that this download contains Freeverse's HD skyboxes.
To install: unzip, and drop into Marathon 2's plugins folder, then activate it in-game.
IMPORTANT: Delete or deactivate the original ""HD Textures"" folder.
PLEASE NOTE: To avoid unsightly skybox tiling, play on an FOV of 88 or lower(assuming aspect ratio of 16:9) and tick 'limit vertical view'.

This is the monsters portion of the plugin.
Installation: The downloaded file must be decompressed and the sub zip files moved to the appropriate plugin folder. The reason the plugin is broken up is for improved performance while still having the benefit of being compressed.
Note: Alephone doesn't handle overly large compressed plugins very well, especially on OSX. This is because Alephone would have to decompress the entire monster set just to get at the relatively few sprites it needs for any given instance. By breaking the plugin up into multiple plugins for each monster type, it only has to decompress what it needs for an instance.

Very Pretty Flames (Infinity) 1.0
kuurin on 10/13/2016

Replaces the old flamethrower projectile animation with prettier flame. Works best with bloom enabled.
Added 7 additional frames, so this uses a shapes patch to append some bitmaps and frames to the explosions collection.
For added fun, make some custom physics with a slower, wandering flamethrower burst. Also cut down the firing sequence on anything using a flamethrower to one tick.

Retexture Lua 1.0
w-rkncacnter on 10/02/2016
Sick of mappers that carefully select textures to go with their useless maps? Tired of playing boring old maps that look the same every time you play?
Now there's a Lua script to randomly generate new textures each time you play!
It may even be slightly less terrible than you're thinking.
