It is 40 years after the combined forces of Earth and the S'pht Kr sacked the Pfhor system. You were put back into stasis after your legendary battles at Tau Ceti and L'howon. You've been recalled from stasis to help the UESC on a mission of utmost importance. You are aboard the UESC Leviathan and headed towards the Kolana system. Hobbes, the onboard AI, informs you of the situation. The Pfhor are back. So are the S'pht. More importantly, there is a new player in town, an AI called Wanda.

The Map file for Marathon 2: Durandal, as it was presented in the Windows 95 release.
The Windows map file contains several visual (and a few gameplay altering) changes from the Mac version, many small, some big. It also has a few altered terminal images.
Anyone familiar with "Waterloo Waterpark" will immediately be surprised with this rendition.
There are some players who do prefer the Windows map, so I decided it would be worth posting on Simplici7y.
The M2 Win95 map file is not particularly hard to obtain, as it is available in retail M2 copies for Windows, and it's available as a download on the Trilogy Release site, HOWEVER, that merge does not contain chapter screen sound effects. I re-merged the map file with the Mac version's sound resource folder, so now all chapter screens will play the appropriate sound.
Decided to release Glow as an unfinished game because it feels like it will change when The Silence gets released.
Glow is built from Lost Land's resources, which is why the menu image is the base game's as well as textures and sprites. Music is taken from my iTunes list which features Tineidae, Totakeke and Cybernetika. Don't use the songs for your scenario if you haven't brought them yourself. (Cybernetika's was however free) No copyright intended for any song. Removal is acceptable.
Don't criticize this scenario. It's unfinished and are only mean't as a glance of history.

Made a global version AND a less law breaking one as-well.
This is a 30 level scenario that truly deserves official sequel status to the original Marathon trilogy. We're so confident about that, that we're calling it Marathon 4. There are too many people that helped with this project that it's impossible to name everyone. Thank you all fans of marathon!
This scenario is truly groundbreaking in that every time you play the game, your experience will be different. No two players will ever have the same experience playing through this game. The replayability is endless!
These are compatibility files for Wheels! (a marathon engine game) to make it work in Aleph One. If you happen to own Wheels!, you can combine it with these files to play it with Aleph One. The original game supported input devices for people learning to use a wheel chair, and I don't know if those work in Aleph One. You will be limited by whatever inputs it supports, so this is mostly just for people curious to go through the game outside the context of its original purpose.
Dissent scenario by Thomas Reed. Modified for Aleph One by Mark (no last name).
from the readme:
Users must have Aleph One 0.16 or higher. "Marathon Dissent.bin" in the read me folder can be decoded (.bin file) and used with the the decoded (.bin) Image and Map files in classic. The look and feel of the game should be the same. The mml scripts are for text strings and opengl code.
Archive of the original Marathon Rubicon release for classic MacOS Aleph One, titled Rubicon AO Light. This is the Rubicon scenario as it was before Rubicon X.
The files on this archive were taken from the Macintosh Garden here https://macintoshgarden.org/games/marathon-rubicon and passed through MacBinary II+ to make them compatible with modern Aleph One for Windows and Linux too.
Also included is a set of maps bundled with the AO Light release, including some netmaps, the Rubicon Xariim scenario and, as far as I can tell, one ported map from the unreleased scenarios that eventually became Rubicon.
Added the weapons and items MML scripts from Rubicon X to fix wrong names in the HUD.
Hosted on Mega because the Simplici7y uploader is failing to upload.
This is the latest release of this scenario.
Winter 1 is a collaborative single player project originally made in 2010 to succeed the Xmas series. It consists of 7 levels.

This version is from 2022 and was packaged with modern tools, so it should work on every platform. It also has some other improvements:
Marathon 1984 is a custom 3 map scenario for Marathon Infinity, created in 1997 by Frank 'Elk' Rooke and distributed in the MacAddict issue No. 13 cover CD.
This file contains the Marathon 1984 map file and a patched shapes file in MacBinary II format, compatible with Aleph One, as well as the original installer for classic MacOS also in MacBinary II format.
Contents of the Marathon 1984 original readme file:
Marathon-1984 Scenario
Level construction, textures and terminal art: Frank 'Elk' Rooke Many thanks to Devon Belcher (UESC Marine terminal pict by Devon)
Final merge: 6-16-97
1984 consists of three levels to be played as solo maps only and using Marathon Infinity.

Play as a replicant designed by Lysander.
Project Iris is a Rubicon scenario which will likely never be finished.
It features two full-fledged levels and a transition level.
Violet is arguably the best map I've ever made and I am happy to share it for others to enjoy. The level is meant to take place halfway through the story, so expect in medias res-style terminals.
Additional notes:
Your unarmed secondary is a "kick" with major knockback.
You will need Rubicon X to play this scenario. Make sure to follow the instructions I've included in the zip.
M1A1 was a port of Marathon to Aleph One released in 2001 and updated in 2002 before Aleph One was able to use the original Marathon data files.
Today, Aleph One is able to play the original Marathon 1 which can be found at lhowon.org. Downloads for M1A1 will not work with Marathon 1. See the Marathon 1 scenario page for compatible files.
An archive of the the original M1A1 Project homepage can be found here.. Downloads can be found on the Fileball Archive.

NEFX loves you.
NEFX has been prolifically producing great Marathon/Aleph One inventions since 2017 (around 2.5 years after being founded) and uploading them to Simplici7y, in an increasing number of different upload pages that NEFX then frequently updates. This has occasionally lead to crowding of Simplici7y's front page with several different NEFX uploads, sometimes over a relatively short period. Understandably, some have objected to this as unfairly outcrowding and burying the wonderful contributions of our fellow travelers. We hear them. Therefore, to better serve the community as well as our Total Carnage Comrades, NEFX is now consolidating all additions and updates to its Marathon and Aleph One-related inventions on Simplici7y here on this one upload page, with a datemarked update timeline you can view below. Henceforth, all Marathon/Aleph One scenarios, campaigns, maps, mods, etc, and any updates to them, will be posted here. Of course, the webpage link connects to NEFX's Internet Archive homepage, where you can find all inventions by titled category. This includes:

This is a demo/proof of concept release for an OPEN-TO-EVERYONE COMMUNITY MAPPING PROJECT, Durandal Done Different. Inspired by community projects for Doom, such as Doom The Way Id Did, DDD is a celebration of the original game, its limitations, quirks and strengths.
The end goal of this project is to recreate, in the "style" of the original game, the entire 28-level campaign for Marathon 2. This isn't strictly speaking remakes of the original levels, but just a different interpretation of the writing and story beats as if it were 1995 all over again.
This 3-level demo features my replacements for Waterloo Waterpark, Slings and Arrows, and What About Bob. They're meant as a demonstration of the project's objective.
You are welcome to contribute! A direct link to the Discord for development of this project is in the text file of this download, or you can ask me for it on the main Marathon discord. Or you can just play the 3 maps included and wait patiently for the final release, sometime in the heavens...
Alien forces have boarded the interstellar colony ship Marathon®. The situation is dire. As a security officer onboard, it is your duty to defend the ship and its crew.
Experience the start of Bungie™’s iconic trilogy with Marathon. This release uses the original Marathon data files for the most authentic experience outside of a classic Mac or emulator.
At long last, here is the continuation of my surrealist total conversion, "Spatial Outpouring", the first chapter of which was developed back in 2015-2016, and released in 2018.
I had the idea of creating a 'psychedelic' marathon scenario with a highly otherworldly plot, and heavy use of bright colors and fractals.
I also used synthesizers to create copious sound FX and ambiences for the game, and included an original song of mine in the title screen (this second chapter contains a different original song than was included with the first).
This second chapter was mostly developed years ago, but progress slowed to a halt for a long time, as I was frustrated trying to make the bizarre levels a playable experience.
Public appreciation for the 1st chapter has now led me to finish what I started, and here you have it - 3 new levels. I am pleased to say that at this point, this new material is truly the natural continuation to the original, and goes deeper into strangeness than ever before.
Texture fix on level 2.
Marathon® Infinity takes the closed universe of the Marathon series and blows it wide open. The solo/co-op campaign, “Blood Tides of Lh’owon,” is a 20-level scenario sporting new textures, weapons, and aliens. More than that, the scenario sheds a surprising new light on the story’s characters and the meaning of events. Having defeated the Pfhor and reawakened the ancient remnants of the S’pht, the player now faces a world where friends become enemies and all is not what it seems…
Marathon Infinity is the most popular Marathon game in online play, and is compatible with hundreds of community-made maps. This release includes the classic graphics, and revamped high-definition textures and weapons.
This is a three level campaign textured for Marathon 2. After the events of Marathon 2, Robert Blake and his BoBs escape on the captured Pfhor ship H'farl, but they run into trouble when their navigation system malfunctions in an unknown star system! Help Robert Blake and the heroic BoBs get to safety.
