Marathon® Infinity takes the closed universe of the Marathon series and blows it wide open. The solo/co-op campaign, “Blood Tides of Lh’owon,” is a 20-level scenario sporting new textures, weapons, and aliens. More than that, the scenario sheds a surprising new light on the story’s characters and the meaning of events. Having defeated the Pfhor and reawakened the ancient remnants of the S’pht, the player now faces a world where friends become enemies and all is not what it seems…
Marathon Infinity is the most popular Marathon game in online play, and is compatible with hundreds of community-made maps. This release includes the classic graphics, and revamped high-definition textures and weapons.
This is a simple modification to the LUA script included with the FloatingX HUD program. It adds an ammunition counter for the Alien Weapon. In keeping with the spirit of the FloatingX HUD, the ammo count jitters and flickers around with the static displayed in the HUD when using the Alien Weapon.
Download the FloatingX HUD from this site, back up the FloatingX.lua file inside, and replace it with this one to install.
Simple code change to the FloatingX.lua file tested in Marathon 2 using latest Aleph One build.
Don't fall into the lava
Like I said don't fall into the lava
Just map that took about a minute to make
Should work
This is my first map i'll ever release to the public i hope everyone of you that download it will enjoy it as i and the people that that tested it! Have fun! Sincerely Mavy <3
Thing added: New rooms, monster spawns, new weapons, traps. and lava pits
Big and open and lots of ammo. Rate!!!! and Review!
Not to many changes, and yes Dugit im working on your advice. you need to put it in more plain English please. And i can't put ammo in bunches, but i can put them out at random. wtf am i saposed to do then? I do appreciate your reviews.
This is my first map in a long time , I have never released anything public before. So constructive criticism is welcome . Thank you in advance for the download .
I will expand on it if required
well, my texturing currently sucks. i've already fixed it all and will put it in my update of this pack, but for now, this is my first draft of my first map pack. it still needs work, but id like some constructive feedback on specifics of improving these maps if you have any so that i can...well.. improve them...
Could sombody review with at least some brains?? I deffinitly enjoy these Physics and i had fun using toy guns to build the animations off of. I know you all are "used" to the original stuff, it got old to me. in one phrase IF YOU DONT USE IT DON'T REVIEW IT.
This is my first netpack. It features a giant pillar. You start inside the pillar and stay there. Its really big and nice, with minipillars inside. I'm very sorry that I couldn't include screenshots because my network is too slow.
:::IMPORTANT NOTE::: All my projects (and all of iamanidiotbad's projects) are temporarily DEAD. Copying my projects is allowed. Thank you for your time.
Fixed something where a wall goes up when you activate the platforms; the platforms now don't take up the entire space between the upper ledges. Also added some waterfall thingies, removed the death trap of river canyon ringing the middle, the map doesnt flood anymore (though you still walk in shallow watter). Also... changed item placements and counts. However I do not think this map is good for survival, there is a chance that monstars will appear outside the tower. I am not sure of this... Added a nice secret through the discovery of the usage of tags!
Some transparent lines textured, i was too lazy to remove the textures. Maybe in a week i'll fix it?
And i seemingly skipped beta1 because in beta1 i forgot to texture a side on a platform. now i textured it. hip hip horray.
Also added a hill for support of survival and koth.
Also added a ball for rugby, KTMWTB, and CTF support.
Well, this is my first map pack. I don't think that these maps are really good so if you have suggestions, send it to me please for better maps.
These Shapes files are for use with Marathon 2: Durandal or Marathon Infinity, and are edited to make certain bitmaps glow. Muzzle flashes, explosions, projectiles, monsters, scenery lights, and liquid splashes will now glow. Both Shapes files will work with either Scenario. OpenGL (Shader) is required to experience the full effect.
Comes in both Infinity and M2 textures!
Instructions:
Place the Radiance Shapes folder within your Aleph One directory.
Select either Radiance Shapes file in your Environment Preferences.
Make sure you are using the OpenGL (Shader) Renderer, and that Bloom Effects are turned on in the Graphics Preferences.
Eventually, I'd like to make this into a Plugin.
Initial Release. These were named the Extra Bloom Shapes at one time. Nothing's really changed about them except the name since then.
