SL Maps is a net pack for infinity consisting of levels from Infinity, M2, and others that have been modified, usually for additions or better flow, or remade.
Proper Credits
The levels listed below in this pack come from Quick Six and were originally created by Treellama.
Age of Aquarius. Incontinental Divide.
Major Changes.
You're Gonna Die Big Time: Added a new room near the stairway which connects both sides of the upper level, and also serves as a spawn point.
Minor Changes.
Flight Of The Toolator (both versions): Straightened out the ceiling lights for the outer halls.
His ratings are as unoriginal as his attitude and personality.
I've enjoyed these many times!
Really awful and terrible maps and design. Make some good maps for a change.
Been having occasional LAN games with this map pack since version 1.1, and they have been great, especially King of the Hill on One Hit Wonder. I really like the changed stock maps the most.
The recent addition to You're Gonna Die Big Time is a rather nice one.
The reviews by wrkncacnter and treellama are quite hilarious, considering at least one didn't even download it. I can see they never changed much or grew up. Ignore their false statements!
The maps have an old school feel which can be refreshing from the more streamlined modern maps.
In 1vs1 there is plenty of cover to be used, and the maps pace differently. Overall a pleasant experience.
Respawning 2x canisters can give too much advantage to the player who finds them first in 1vs1. Not sure how this plays out in 3+ players. I think they can be taken out.
Incontinental Divide was my favourtie map in the pack. That maps is a 4 or 5:er.
Overall I'm giving this pack a 3. To me it means that it is good/decent.
Played majority of the maps in 1vs1 with the MIME Physics and it seemed to work quite well. Incontinental Divide was probably my favorite and I noticed some interesting tactics used thanks to the new additions/changes from the original.
I noticed some things in the general architecture that could have been made look slightly better with little effort in some places but it did not disturb the overall flow.
Also, The idea/concept is really good. I want to see more people do this.
Flight Of The Toolator I would say was very well done. I enjoyed that M2 stock map and this one makes it a whole lot better. One Hit Wonder is definitely a huge change, and improvement from the original. I do agree with the previous comment though about adding some details for the level modifications.
I don't see anything in the description that says why you did this. Why don't you make something original?
there are standards that are unreasonably low but there are also standards that are unreasonably high...
i for one would prefer to stay in the "green" zone in this color spectrum
my rating is a 5 rather than 4 to reverse the tragic abuse on this rating system
Nice to see an update to this map pack! I enjoy playing on Flight of the Toolator very much. I am also happy to see your version of One Hit Wonder added into the pack. It has great flow and I like the M2 textures a lot! King of the Hill is also a blast on that map. As for the remakes, Incontinental Divide does have better flow and the texturing, for the most part, looks good. As for Age of Aquarius, i have to agree the variety of textures are just too much. I do recommend changing some of the textures back to the textures of the original map. Otherwise, I do enjoy your maps, so keep it up!
I haven't downloaded these yet, but just from the screenshots, if you're going to remake maps, you should make them look better not worse.
Not only are the maps playable and excellently laid out, the flow is without flaw and the lighting, if I'm not mistaken, has been redone to proper aesthetic standard, which is a neat touch.
Toolator, by far, is the funnest map of the two.
Yus! Finally you decided to share! :D
I do not only love the playability and flow of this maps, but the brand new design on the architecture (and without destroying the essence of the original design!)
Old maps gone right is always WIN, i hope we se way more of your work soon man!
PS. For future references, Toolator is as FUN AS HELL when a lot of people is in it to be obliterated... and stuff!
