Simplici7y 2.0 is being written / migrated.

I am actively re-writing Simplici7y from Ruby on Rails 2 to Python and Django. This will allow for modern hosting (no more downtime) and the ability to fix bugs, add features, and make changes. Please be patient as I re-create the existing pages and then make improvements. I will not work on enabling logins until I know the database is done being reset.

Retreat Syndrome by nibenon

Description

Survival Map: the duece. Maybe sometime I'll release a manual so there's no whining about anything. If it's there, it's there for a reason. Good luck!

What, 17 downloads and no reviews?!

Come on people!

I made it to round 16 and went down with guns blazing as they closed in... beat that!

Somethings that really helped was the 1x canisters that appeared continually in the base and the mini-base in case it get too crowded... not so helpful was the right side of the map. If I almost made it to the wall using the stone steps and fell, I either had to fight my way back to the bottom step or die... any chance you could turn one of the rocks into an elevator?

5 stars for one insane map!

Surprisingly fun.

Although the map itself has a few flaws (namely compiler bolts are insanely difficult to get away from in the main area), and the texturing was mediocre, it's a good job and I'm still playing it.

N.B.: Try this in other scenarios, or using custom physics. ;)

Insanely good

First encountered this map in my short time on networked play, and had excellent fun working with the other players to keep back the hordes of Enforcers, Fighters, and especially those annoying Compilers (good thing for invisibility, eh?) Got shot in the back a few times, but hey, what's a rocket in the rear among friends? ;)

Helps one to suck less

This is as much a review of Survival.lua (I presume this is what you're supposed to use with this map) as it is this map.

It's reasonable fun even if you play this solo on TC. Because of the huge amounts of regenerating ammo, it encourages one to experiment with different weapons and techniques. I've used it to try to get better at using the SMG and shotguns, with some amounts of success. But I still suck to some degree.

Only thing I would recommend is more SMG ammo.

Yes, there is Ammo

Mini-Base (for Solo)

This looks epic when the S'pht scale it...
