Great physics, for great carnage, and works best with Fly_by_wire_rockets.lua
Yeah....... that's about it.........
Easily one of my favorite set of maps. Outstanding collection! As action-packed as the legendary Red Spectrum, but with more complicated architecture. Once again, the quality of these maps is as impressive as the quantity, and I now consider this pack essential!
Sometimes the architecture is so complicated that it almost becomes a distraction. Even still, this set of maps is incredibly close to perfection. Get it!
Awesome! Perhaps my favorite map collection. The gameplay is incredibly action-packed, and the maps are fun and look great! Really, just amazing work. And as impressive as the quality of these maps is their quantity. After getting used to playing these maps, most of the Bungie and Double Aught maps pale by comparison.
The only thing this pack doesn't always do better than those official maps is weapon placement, in terms of placing them in such a way so that auto-switch isn't problematic. There have been a number of times when I've had a player locked in my sights and pressed fire, only to auto-switch and watch him get away.
All in all, an outstanding -- nearly perfect -- set of maps that I now consider absolutely essential. Just get it!
I spent most of my time on this map as a stain on the wall, but had quite the time anyway. A 4 out of 5.
Very, very classic architecture and battles. I would've given it a five in 1995, but this is 2010. Sorry there.
I know I tested it before, I only have 2 qualms with it 1 - there's no side stepping 2- No sound
I'm not sure if you can do anything about the sound, but its neither of them presents a huge problem.
good job.
Update on the Update:
It so much better! The sounds work, and you can toggle player view!
It's not Tim's fault this entire upload sucks.
For Christ's sake, Timothy, is it that hard to download it?
My favorite texture. Looks promising. Keep up the good work.
For christ's sake, is it really so hard to include a couple of pictures?
U must add more troops since the drones are killed to easily. And here's an idea: maybe u shouldnt do it with a system of credits but with a system of time, so the more powerful the troop more time will take until u can used it again!
The drones didn't seem to work out with this version of A1, whatever. You did help me to fly! I always wanted to fly in Marathon! Look at me go! weeee!!!!!!!!
EDIT: Wasn't using physics model given. They're working now with it.
Kill things here, kill things there, kill things everywhere! So much action yet I die a lot. I thought the seeking s'pht kr shots were bad now they shoot faster non seeking ones. This is a really hard game. I give 4 stars!
Not only did you take the weapons from Apotheosis, you also stole all the textures and monster sprites from M2 and Infinity.
I don't even have to play this map to see they failures in it.... Next time, when you apply textures, use more than three textures....
Your scenario had a number of major flaws that lead to it's downfall, example one being the ceiling heights, they are all locked at one height, the lighting, it's dull and needs more shading, texturing is repetitive and enemy placement-ammo ratio is pretty god awful, i mean, on the first level, we are forced to fight off several fighters with fists.
You need to try and improve, and I admire you for using M1A1, and you even figured out how to make terminals, which I still don't know how to properly make.
And what was really the point of the map? Yeah I give it 2 stars for the rocky cavern cause it's pretty neat but it was really short! I wanna see something bigger!
The flying works ok, but when I call in my troops, something invisible enters the battlefield. I cannot see my troops, and they don't seem to do anything.
This is a very short level. You'll finish it in about one minute.
You start in a cavern with a large group of flicktas infront of you. When you walk past them they start chasing you. Luckily, there's an escape route through a water hole. The real challenge on the level is an enforcer guarding the exit. There's not much room to manouver around him and you only got a pistol (unless you manage to sneak by him and grab the AR).
The map run without any problems. The only thing worth pointing out is that there are some ceiling textures in the cavern that need a fix.
