The TTEP (Total Texture Enhancement Package) is a massive package containing remakes of the original textures from the Marathon trilogy.
It replaces the original low-quality textures with new high-ress versions with a maximum size of 1024x1024 pixels. I've tried to get them as close to the originals as possible.
New in version 7.0:
Script files have been cleaned up and files have been renamed to make it more clear how to install.
All textures are now optimized .DDS files, with increased performance as well as quality!
Textures can now be scaled down in Aleph One's OpenGL settings. This also makes the TTEP a single size package, there's no longer 4 different sizes.
A lot of the textures have tiny flaws removed, some are completely redone to make them look better.
The Textures are now divided by their games, meaning you're not forced to download and use the Marathon 2 Textures when you only want the Marathon 1 replacements for example.
A truly excellent piece of work. What would M1A1 be without these? And in 1024x1024 DDS, no less? Here's an example of an artist who respects the previous goods while bringing excellent but subtle new touches into each texture. My only complaint is that Lava #31 is a "fail". Would like to see that redone. Also, the backdrops...not great. Odd, considering how amazing the rest of this pack really is. Note: All screenshots I've uploaded from M1A1 (or am likely to upload) were created with the TTEP v7.0 DDS files active. Thanks again for an outstanding suite.
Damn these look great! Marathon looked really old too, these brought back the excitement of playing it again.
This is probably the best texture pack out of the three. Look great close up and from afar. Anyone who still plays M1A1 should immediately download this pack.
In my opinion the textures in this pack are the best out of the three. Simply stunning. Excellent work!
These textures are out right amazing. Really you should be really proud of the hard work you put into these. If your system can support it, get these, or your really going to miss out.
