This modifcation of Dave Baily's map is my first attempt at CTF. For some reason some people like it though personally I'd choose CCR2 (part of Magenta Filter 1.3) This version works with CTF lua 4.0.2 so you guys can stop bugging me to email you maps. ;) The readme goes in to further detail.

The music that is shipped with the Marathon release is based off of the classic Quicktime synth. This is the fed through fluidsynth which utilized a modern sample set — in this case, Don Allen's Timbres of Heaven. All tracks have been normalized and made working for in-game.

To install, simply replace the Music folder within the Marathon data folder

Notes for version 2.0:

-A new attempt utilizing Timbers of Heaven 3.4 and the latest fluidsynth.

fixed missing track 14

Exellent work! MaraToon (Infinity and Durandal)

herecomethej2000 on Mar 23rd, 2021, Version 1.01

Decades ago I did a joke project with someone where we tried to replace the monsters with stick figures. In doing so we found that this game really had potential for cell shaded style graphics for artists who actually knew what they were doing and weren't 12. It's fantastic to see someone went ahead and actually did it. Excellent work! I do hope you one day find the energy to do the player sprites, as it would be great to play multiplayer like this. This could easily be the best graphic set for the game.

General Tacticus's work is truly exceptional and this is no exception! Fully agree with Doc 6 stars!

Looks and works great! Nice to have that final hole patched up. Not a big deal, but I could put it in the HD Monsters/Scenery plugin, if you want, shoot me a message on the pfhorums.

Now all we need is an upgrade to the vacbob and the Infinity set will be complete!

The Prodigal Son has Returneth Rugby Lua

herecomethej2000 on Nov 8th, 2009, Version 1.1

And boy, with a bang did he come. Seriously, the one built in game type in Alephone that has been completely neglected and treated as an outcast, with tweaking, actually turns out to be a rather fun and interesting team game. Who knew? Now all this excellent game type needs is it's very own beautiful, hand crafted, Ryoko and Company made net-pack.

Only the W'rkncacnter could have pulled this off. Thanks a bunch!

Certianly Has Merit CTF Lua

herecomethej2000 on Nov 8th, 2009, Version 4.0.2

CTF has always been held in a special place for me and I always found it adrenalin pumping and a lot of fun. The complaints that Tim has suggested are faults that effect all team matches and are usually a product of bad hosting and unintelligent team balancing. Somehow, Ctf.lua itself has always been plagued with the brunt the fault. But everything about this game type requires thinking. Get 4 competent people together, and your in for one heck of a firefight and quick thinking. Do I defend or attack? How do I get get from point A to point B the fastest? Will there be a lot of resistance? What is the best direction to attack from? What are the directions my opponent is most likely to come from, and where can I place myself to get the first shot in? Not to say the new Rugby doesn't have it's own strategy as well, some of these even. But whereas rugby is more direct and in your face, which is to it's credit, I will always be a sucker for this slightly slower paced mind game.

Very nice! m23redux Plugin

herecomethej2000 on Aug 28th, 2009, Version 1.0

Thank-you so much for your update. Looks great. I have but one small request. In the future could you have it so you must place the m23redux folder in the textures folder and edit the .mml accordingly. It keeps everything nice and neat.

Exellent work TTEP 7 Marathon Infinity

herecomethej2000 on Dec 6th, 2007, Version 7.0

Well to be honest, there isn't allot of choice when it comes to complete texture sets for Infinity. But despite the valid criticism for this particular set, the sheer amount of work and dedication, plus my own personal opinion that the textures are actually really good, makes me give this full marks.
