Marathon 2 replacement textures based on the originals, created with AI.

There's no reason for this to exist. I just wanted an excuse to screw around with some new technology.

Hardcore project mixed with m1 & m2

Notes for version 2:

Version 1: Added Defense Drone, Hulk, Evil Defense Drone, and some new wall textures Version 1.1: Added New Automatic Shotgun. Version 1.2: Fixed Defense Drone Hit Sounds. Version 1.3: Fixed Hulk melee attack. Version 1.4: changed hulks health 3000 to 1000, increase bobs health slightly, changed weapon strength slightly, warning all weapons will disappear when they have no ammo, missile launcher has a 2nd trigger shoots two missiles at once. Version 1.5: Added more ammo for assault rifle, give bobs 2nd attack, fix items images. Version 1.6: Fixed player's alien staff bolt, found out you can use infinity shapes and the Physics Models in Marathon 2 since this is using the Aleph One app not the original marathon app, so I added a new weapon same as the shotgun but with explosives rounds, changed hulks projectile speed from 300 to 150, added more bobs in vacbobs spot with quick fire, changed Major S'pht'Kr Bolt damage slightly, changed Evil Defense Drone guided missile to no guided missile. Version 2: Minor fixes and changes.

Hippieman found some higher resolution renders from the XBLA game on his hard drive. This plugin combines the scraps to give you mostly complete compiler, cyborg, fighter, green trooper, hunter, tick, and f'lickta replacements.

  • There is no purple trooper, it will be low res. Sorry, Vidmasters.
  • One frame of the brown hunter is missing, and will appear low-res
  • The orange compiler was generated from the purple one using the hald clut that was used for the original plugin. All the compilers were squished vertically to fit the original XBLA aspect ratio.
  • Not (yet?) included: the "Marine" sprites
  • Not included: the Classic Marathon-style red compiler
Notes for version 0.2:
  • Fixes black outlines in DDS conversion

A full scenario for Marathon 2. It is a 6 level breach and infiltrate mission into a Pfhor military compound, complete with new terminal and chapter arts, as well as some interesting old school mapping tricks and fun bits.

This version of the scenario was built for Marathon 2's texture set, and is best played using Classic Marathon 2.

I had a spur-of-the-moment idea during the 30th anniversary, this was the result of it, after a very lazy few hours. I think it's really funny.

Shapes file that gives everyone fun Santa Claus hats. Everyone is jolly and fires a Holiday Cheer.

Most everyone's a little in the floor now, because i didn't want to slightly change 27 bubtillion frames for a tiny little joke thing (exception for the Mr. Mararthon's graphics, and the Flappy Boys [kind of] because they're important) Don't worry, it's not too noticeable.

Happy MegaMan X-mas.

Notes for version 1.5:

Version 1: All Drones are allies, be careful with fusion 2nd trigger it's an overload effect kill player in close range, missile launcher has 2nd trigger shoots 2 missiles at once, WARNING all weapons disappear when they have no ammo, hunters are slightly stronger than normal has a force shield, possessed drone is possessed juggernaut, bobs have a quick-fire attack, warning bobs have minor and major setting putting in total carnage you will not have a bob give you a pistol instead you will have assassin bob, you have defense drones replacing tick, shotgun has explosive rounds, the first minor & major Pfhor Fighter are Invisible with fast speed & quick attack. Version 1.5: Fixed SPAM being killed, Fixed Possessed Juggernaut firing, Change shotgun fire rounds from 10 to 20, Changed your speed.

Screenshot titled "30° FOV on a 16:9 screen"

This HUD prevents landscape mirroring by letterboxing the 3D world view window. It automatically and dynamically resizes the view window whenever the resolution of the game window increases or decreases, whenever sniper mode is toggled on or off, whenever extravision is picked up or expires... In other words, whenever the FOV changes, no matter the cause (teleportation effect excluded).

Here's a little video showcasing how it works (16:9 screen, initially 90° FOV, then sniper mode is toggled on and then off).

It is based on Basic HUD by treellama, and has the same compatibilities as that HUD with regards to scenarios (for example, it is compatible with Marathon 2: Durandal, Marathon Infinity and Rubicon X, but not with Marathon).

This is a demo/proof of concept release for an OPEN-TO-EVERYONE COMMUNITY MAPPING PROJECT, Durandal Done Different. Inspired by community projects for Doom, such as Doom The Way Id Did, DDD is a celebration of the original game, its limitations, quirks and strengths.

The end goal of this project is to recreate, in the "style" of the original game, the entire 28-level campaign for Marathon 2. This isn't strictly speaking remakes of the original levels, but just a different interpretation of the writing and story beats as if it were 1995 all over again.

This 3-level demo features my replacements for Waterloo Waterpark, Slings and Arrows, and What About Bob. They're meant as a demonstration of the project's objective.

You are welcome to contribute! A direct link to the Discord for development of this project is in the text file of this download, or you can ask me for it on the main Marathon discord. Or you can just play the 3 maps included and wait patiently for the final release, sometime in the heavens...

This set of files will bring M1's Alien Weapon to M2, in place of the SMG. Just put the .shpA and .sndA files in your M2 main data folder and the .phyA one in the Physics folder. Then boot up the game and, in Preferences -> Environment, click on each field (Shapes, Sounds, Physics) and replace the standard files with the ones from this package. You're good to go now.

WARNING: Only the Major Enforcers will drop it, for now. They will still shoot with their flame cannons, no worries.

B'rak Station v4 by FrigidMan

Notes for version 4:

・ This map has really been messed with. Since I converted this map to a solo level in my solo adventure, I noticed I made some major modifications that made things more interesting and smoother. This map was plagued with slowdown due to the immense look and feel of it. So, I took the solo level and then converted it back to a net level. Doing this removed about 500 polygons, and monsters, but hey... you dont want all that in a net level right? SO, this map has realyl kinda changed since its old version

Notes for version 4:

・ Fixed a few texture problems, and increased ammo. Also, even though you can turn off aliens in a net game, The game will always start with 15 bobs to slaughter.

BOB Factory 1.0.1

NovusXcell on 11/10/2024

Welcome to The BOB Factory version 1.0.1 !

Those friendly little BOBs have been kidnapped by the Pfhor for experimental purposes! After being sacked by Durandal and friends a few hundred years ago, the Pfhor Empire has almost reached it's former glory, save for one small detail...what to do about Earth and all those superhuman space marines. So those wily aliens built The BOB Factory. There they plan to develop a new type of assimilated BOB, one that is indistinguishable from normal humans and doesn't say silly things to give itself away. If they reach Earth, those assimilateds would wreak total havoc. This is where you step in and save the day...Space Marine.

Notes for version 1.0.1:

The map consists of 3 levels

Version 1.0.1 fixes the terms & pattern buffers -- making the terms look like terms and the pattern buffers look like pattern buffers.
