AN1Guitarman on Jul 14th 2011

Could sombody review with at least some brains?? I deffinitly enjoy these Physics and i had fun using toy guns to build the animations off of. I know you all are "used" to the original stuff, it got old to me. in one phrase IF YOU DONT USE IT DON'T REVIEW IT.

The Great Pillar 2.0 (beta2.5)

Dan the Man on Jul 9th 2011

This is my first netpack. It features a giant pillar. You start inside the pillar and stay there. Its really big and nice, with minipillars inside. I'm very sorry that I couldn't include screenshots because my network is too slow.

:::IMPORTANT NOTE::: All my projects (and all of iamanidiotbad's projects) are temporarily DEAD. Copying my projects is allowed. Thank you for your time.

Notes for version 2.0 (beta2.5):

Fixed something where a wall goes up when you activate the platforms; the platforms now don't take up the entire space between the upper ledges. Also added some waterfall thingies, removed the death trap of river canyon ringing the middle, the map doesnt flood anymore (though you still walk in shallow watter). Also... changed item placements and counts. However I do not think this map is good for survival, there is a chance that monstars will appear outside the tower. I am not sure of this... Added a nice secret through the discovery of the usage of tags!

Some transparent lines textured, i was too lazy to remove the textures. Maybe in a week i'll fix it?

And i seemingly skipped beta1 because in beta1 i forgot to texture a side on a platform. now i textured it. hip hip horray.

Also added a hill for support of survival and koth.

Also added a ball for rugby, KTMWTB, and CTF support.

My first map pack

PhilThedoors on Jul 6th 2011

Well, this is my first map pack. I don't think that these maps are really good so if you have suggestions, send it to me please for better maps.

Radiance Shapes 1.0

President People on Jun 29th 2011

These Shapes files are for use with Marathon 2: Durandal or Marathon Infinity, and are edited to make certain bitmaps glow. Muzzle flashes, explosions, projectiles, monsters, scenery lights, and liquid splashes will now glow. Both Shapes files will work with either Scenario. OpenGL (Shader) is required to experience the full effect.

Comes in both Infinity and M2 textures!

  1. Place the Radiance Shapes folder within your Aleph One directory.

  2. Select either Radiance Shapes file in your Environment Preferences.

  3. Make sure you are using the OpenGL (Shader) Renderer, and that Bloom Effects are turned on in the Graphics Preferences.

Eventually, I'd like to make this into a Plugin.

Notes for version 1.0:

Initial Release. These were named the Extra Bloom Shapes at one time. Nothing's really changed about them except the name since then.

Seven Stages of Megalopia 1.0

Crater Creator on Jun 9th 2011

Back in March, Irons re-discovered a contest for 7-polygon maps, also known as "Simplici7y" maps. I was intrigued by the concept, and drew some sketches that turned into these seven levels. Despite making Marathon maps for nearly the last fifteen years, this is the first Infinity map I've officially released. I chose to follow the restrictions imposed by the original contest.

Notes for version 1.0:

This is the first official release. All maps and gametypes have been tested for functionality and balance.

Dead City 5.0

Nibenon on Jun 3rd 2011

The first ever survival map, with a base, plentiful weapons and healing, and lots of space for battle. And yes, I MADE THE PREVIOUS DEAD CITY MAP AS WELL, SO OF COURSE IT LOOKS LIKE IT. DUH.

Notes for version 5.0:

Completely redone: you can now run up the rocks, distracting polygons are removed, others were added, and especially the size will allow for more carnage. Take note: despite size change, aliens will still get stuck on the steps, and must be killed with bullets, not by 'splodes. My solo record is now 22. Good luck.

Flamethrower Physics 1

Dan the Man on May 4th 2011

A pack of physics models that all mod the flamethrower. One has infinite range, one has infinite range and travels faster, one makes it very inaccurate. By now hopefully you know: 1) how to use a physics file, 2) to not use on a merged map, and 3) don't review without trying it out first.

Notes for version 1:

I think anybody can make this easily within a minute.

Ray Gun and Minigun physics 1

Dan the Man on Apr 16th 2011

Yeah, just another crappy physics file. Made it a long time ago. Like all physics files, don't use on a merged map. CHANGES:shotgun shoots fusion bolts with blast radius, AR and SMG fires a larger burst (3 and 4 at a time) and shoot faster. AR bullets are powered up just a little. AR grenades have no changes; the AR just fires 5 at a time even though it might not look like it. Again, this is a PHYSICS MODEL, not a script. So don't use on a map with embedded physics. Also, FloatingX, TTEP and WEP not included. Get them in Simplici7y (except for the FloatingX; that's a 1-of-a-kind floatingx i made by modding Treellama's FloatingX. It's not posted anywhere to download.) Also, I made Super Magnum Physics ;) I just wanted to change my name. Also, the Ray Shotgun was not named after Ray. The idea of a "Ray Gun" was invented by H.G. Wells, a famous writer. "A very early example of a raygun is the Heat-Ray featured in H. G. Wells' novel The War of the Worlds (1898)."
