Replaces the 2d scenery sprites with 3d models in Marathon 1
Note: works best in shader mode.
Make sure bloom is turned off!
Obviously some errors can't be avoided, but I have done my best to smooth over as many bumps as possible.
-Replaced the escape pod model with a much better one
-Changed the pfhor egg to be more like the original (an egg)
This is a version of the Marathon 1 Hd Weapons Pack that has been made compatible with the old M1A1 release.
As such, this will not work with current versions of aleph one, using the original files.
All credit for making this compatible with M1A1 goes to to Thedoctor45.
Hd Replacements for:
Weapons Projectiles Most Items
Version 1.1 includes: -tweaked weapon size and position -new animations for rocket and grenade detonation -new bullet impact effect -new trooper grenade projectile -fixed color tables for spht bolt
...and probably some other minor fixes that I forgot about.
This plugin replaces most of the original Jjarro props with 4x resolution rendered versions.
-The sun sprite is not replaced yet, but I have no idea where it shows up anyway.
-The broken light fixtures are not replaced either, as the game doesn't let you break Jjarro lights.
The next version will probably include the star and unused broken lights
This is my first plugin uploaded to this site, it adds hi-res weapon in hand graphics to replace the original, low-res sprites with redone 3d rendered sprites.
Constructive criticism/tips are very welcome.
revised the hands a bit more, added 3d weapon items.
Once again, Wrk stuns us with his incredible mapping and scripting prowess:
I am taken aback by how he both manages to get slopes to work in engine, and how he has implemented the highly intuitive vehicle combat in one solid package.
Unfortunately, the 20 custom weapons unbalance things a bit, so I must detract one star.
Excellent work, far more intuitive than VML, the mouse control is nice, and is a lot easier than holding down various keys in various obscure combinations.
The visuals are smooth and functional, and learning where everything is was a breeze
There is one bug that I have found though. When switching texture mode from "normal" to "fast vertical slide" the hud disappeared, though nothing else was affected (considering this is the first release I guess bugs are to be expected)
All in all, five stars
