Screenshot titled "Marine Scatter Rifle"

The President's Eternal Shapes

This is an edited Eternal X v110b3 Shapes file. It replaces some of the Marine bitmaps with new ones that match the weapon being held.

Notes for version 3.0:
  • Messed with some color tables in EVIL to get the Marine's Pfhor Staff graphics, and also a less pixellated version of the weapon's item graphic.

  • Replaced the Havoc Rifle's grenade clip item with a cleaner version.

  • Both the Napalm Canister's and the Pistol Clip's bitmaps have smoother ones in their place, though I don't think they were used.

  • Added 3 new bitmaps to the Nightmare sequences. It can now appear diagonally from behind.

  • Changed the colors of the Pfhor Staff water scenery item to match the monster's theme. I'm not sure if this was used in the game, though.

  • Experimental. Changed the color of one of the alien scenery lamps (The one that looks like a staff crystal) to match the Pfhor Staff's. NOTE: Two files are included in this folder. The one marked with a * contains the latter changes. Try them both and see what you think.

EasyShade 1.5

Crater Creator on 08/05/2012

Screenshot titled "Example 2 (animated gif)"

EasyShade contains functions for automating the lighting of Aleph One levels. It is intended to aid mapmakers in conjunction with their usual lighting techniques. EasyShade currently includes these functions (all parameters are optional):

sunlight(contrast, manual\_sun\_angle, cumulative) for simulating a directional light source that affects all surfaces and does not cast shadows

roomlight(brightness, floor\_threshold, ceiling\_threshold, radius) for assigning a brightness to an entire room at once

pointlight(brightness, max\_radius) for simulating a point light source where the player is standing (calculations done in 2D)

darken() and lighten() for nudging the brightness of the room you're in up or down. These functions are tied to the previous and next weapon keys, so you can make an adjustment by pressing one key instead of typing out a function call.

pavelight(brightness) for applying a single brightness to all surfaces in the entire level

resetlights() for restoring a level to its original lighting levels

Notes for version 1.5:

Major update, now with wholly different types of automated lighting.

From the guy you remembered after refreshing this page, comes an all-new old-fashioned map with new twists! After playing online for a while, I have made a map that is (hopefully) good for emfh, koth, and survival. For 3-8 players.

Notes for version 1.0:

Done completely on Ye Olde Forge again, but with a look over with Visual. Thanks to Ryoko for the advice.

Screenshot titled "Full Game --- Preview"

This plugin replaces some textures with those found in the Marathon 2 Preview.

The Marathon 2 Preview was released before the Marathon 2 Demo, and contains different textures, weapons and sprites than in the full game, and in some cases, the demo.

I highly recommend that you use Marathon 2 Textures with this plugin. Aleph One 1.0 also recommended.

-- Special Thanks to Hopper for converting the M2 Preview Shapes to Aleph One Format

Notes for version 2.2:

v2.1 to 2.2

  • Ugh, texture 010 was incorrectly named after the Preview, in which it was bitmap 23. Corrected.

v2.0 to 2.1

  • I'd forgotten to convert the new textures to DDS format. They should work properly now.

v1.0 to v2.0 - Completely replaced all bitmaps, using Hopper's converted M2 Preview Shapes (The screenshot method was worth it :))

  • Added textures 002, 003, 027, and 029

An underwater map built in and around a scaled-up generator.

You'll need to do some swimming here; set your run key to something easy to reach if you haven't already.

Psycho Physics file:

*Movement is quicker underwater.

*All weapons fire underwater.

*Fusion Pistol fires safely underwater.

---NEW---

*All shots, including monsters' shots, will now fire underwater.

*The S'pht will not float to the top of the map. Instead, their "jump" height is left at it's highest.

The latter additions were made to make Psychomanteus more compatible with the Survival.Lua script. Enjoy.

Notes for version 2.0:

Weapons and Ammo. Okay, this time I really ramped up the numbers.

Made more items floaty.

Physics no longer merged; I think there was an error with Atque.

This Aleph One plugin allows you to go under water calmly without having to look at those heinous faders. It works great for texturing liquid maps with Visual Mode by treellama, and is compatible with Marathon 2, Marathon Infinity and other plugins.

These Shapes files are for use with Marathon 2: Durandal or Marathon Infinity, and are edited to make certain bitmaps glow. Muzzle flashes, explosions, projectiles, monsters, scenery lights, and liquid splashes will now glow. Both Shapes files will work with either Scenario. OpenGL (Shader) is required to experience the full effect.

Comes in both Infinity and M2 textures!

Instructions:

  1. Place the Radiance Shapes folder within your Aleph One directory.

  2. Select either Radiance Shapes file in your Environment Preferences.

  3. Make sure you are using the OpenGL (Shader) Renderer, and that Bloom Effects are turned on in the Graphics Preferences.

Eventually, I'd like to make this into a Plugin.

Notes for version 1.0:

Initial Release. These were named the Extra Bloom Shapes at one time. Nothing's really changed about them except the name since then.

[M] Harmonium 1.0

heron on 01/29/2010

Screenshot titled "Main arena"

My first netmap. Harmonium is a small- to medium-sized map, best for about 4-5 players. It includes an embedded MML script for starting the player with the assault rifle and SMG.

The map is not terribly large, but at 844 polygons, it is very detailed, and may slow down for some players using OpenGL Shader mode.

I welcome any feedback.

Notes for version 1.0:

Corrected version; the first upload did not include the embedded MML file. It has been fixed.
